Introduction

The Ofqual-regulated post graduate degree is a Master’s programme that is equivalent to a Level 7 Diploma. The goal of this Level 7 Strategic Management & Leadership is for students to learn and gain basic knowledge of the chosen subject through a variety of modules that will be included in the course towards the development of skills for managers with the power and personal qualities to convert corporate structure into effective operational performance are needed. This diploma represents contemporary strategic strategic management and leadership practise and allows students to deepen and broaden their understanding of strategic management and leadership in the industry, as the units will provide an understanding of the topics covered in the Strategic Management & Leadership environment such as business research methods, human resource management and key skills, giving them a taste of what is to come from a professional aspect.

Course structure layout

For this specific level, there will be several mandatory units which will need to be passed in order to gain full qualification and the total amount of hours in terms of TQT (Total Qualification Time) and GLH (Guided Learning Hours) for the course.

Although, the credits system is shorter due to 120 credits mandatory for the course and 60 credits for the dissertation to gain full qualifications equivalent to a completed master’s degree.

  • Total amount of credits: 120
  • Total amount of TQT: 600 hours
  • Total amount of GLH: 120 hours
  • Mandatory units: 6

Assessment

Because all diploma programs are controlled and certified by Ofqual, students must complete and submit all assignments through Turnitin before submitting them through the portal. The governing board of this subject will analyze and verify all the units inside the module aspect depending on the achievements of units passed and specific outcomes that may increase the knowledge learnt.

For example, to receive a Pass, a student must demonstrate a basic understanding of the subject and what has been taught in terms of demonstrations in either practical or written work that will be requested in the assignment criteria until either the lecturer’s demands or the student’s willingness to upgrade the grade to Merit are met. After the evaluation is completed, feedback will be sent as soon as possible if the work is submitted before the deadline, since the notes included in the feedback will aid in the improvement of the process.
